7/7/10 Howdy
all! Well, I'm back... Got a new album on the way and you aint EVER heard
me like this before. Fully produced down in Nashvegas with all the best
players in town. Yeah, it's the end of the "ONE VOICE, ONE
GUITAR" series and era. Hate to see it go, but you'll understand when
you hear the new stuff. It's GREAT!
Let's see.., what else. Oh yeah. I'm releasing my zany "THE
FACEBOOK SONG" to the world in the not too distant future and it's got a
website of it's own that's gonna' have you LYAO! It's kinda' like a "cheaters.com"
for the Facebook crowd. You're gonna' die laughing. Seriously!
It's hysterical. I'll let you all know the minute it's up. Should be
sometime this month. Til then, just humor yourself by going to my Facebook
page at www.facebook.com/jimfemino,
clicking on the 'My Band" tab and listen to it there. And if you're
lovin' it, tell all yer friends about it.
Well, that's it for now. Gotta' go write a song. :)
5/18/10: Well, let's see... We just finished the new Jim Femino session and the five songs he did are AWESOME! That's pretty cool! Steve Laret's EP is done and we're in the middle of shopping it/him for a major label record deal. That's going well. And Erin Ashleigh is crankin' out some of the best songs she's ever written. Business as usual! Good stuff. Oh yeah...., Erin is driving again after her accident in which her car was totalled. She replaced her beloved Ford Mustang with a Hummer..... Hmm. I'm thinkin' if someone hits her again, it's the other person's car that's gonna' get trashed this time. You go girl! Oh..., and another thing. We're releasing Jim's recording of "THE FACEBOOK SONG" to the world via the internet. Stand by. This should be good..... heh, heh.
3/10/10 All kinds of crazy stuff going on here at Songstarters!. Jim is writing with about a dozen artists and can't find time to breathe (which is a good thing!). We just finished up a new six song EP on Steve Laret and we're shopping him and the project for a label home and Erin is recuperating nicely from a near disasterous automobile accident. She got the neck brace off and is writin' herself silly! Good stuff all around. :)
6/12/09: The new Steve Azar video is finished and heading for CMT, GAC and dance clubs all over the country! The song is called "MOO LA MOO" and it's a funny take on the financial stresses we're all currently feeling. I'll post a link here as soon as I can so you can check it out.
12/4/08: NEWS FLASH!!!!! OK..., check this out. "JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN' YOU" has been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Male Country Vocal Performance category! Congrats to my buds James Otto and D. Vincent Williams. Kinda' hard to believe that our little song has come this far. What an honor! Grammy Nominated! Aint THAT some shit! Thanks to everyone out there who has supported James and the song over the past two years. Have a great holiday! I know I will! Yee Haw!!!!

2/9/2008
Well,
after all these years it’s finally happening. I’ve got a song in the
Top 20 on the Billboard Country Singles chart and we’re #17 on GAC’s Top
Twenty Video Countdown. We’re on CMT also. Aint that somethin’…..?!
The song’s called “JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN’ YOU” and it’s by James Otto
on Warner Bros. Nashville. I wrote it with James and D. Vincent Williams
(“I’M MOVIN’ ON” by Rascal Flatts). Anyway……, I need your
help. We’re trying to get the song all the way up to #1 on all charts.
If you could do a couple of things to help us make that happen, I (we’d)
really appreciate it. Here’s what we need.
1.
PLEASE
call your local country radio stations and request “JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN’
YOU” by James Otto. Tell your friends about it and ask them to call
also. The more people call and request the song, the more they’ll play
it. The more they play it, the farther up the chart it’ll go.
2.
Go
to www.gactv.com, click on the Top 20 section
towards the right side of the page and then click on VOTE. Right there
you’ll see “JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN’ YOU” by James Otto at #17.
VOTE FOR IT! You can vote once per day, but there literally has to be 24
full hours between votes. But again, PLEASE ask as many of your friends to
help as you’re comfortable doing. The more the merrier.
That’s
it! Simple, but your help getting the word out about getting this ground
swell of support for James and the song could very well be the deciding factor
as to whether or not we actually make it all the way to #1. Right now
it’s looking like a distinct possibility. That’s why I’m asking for
your help.
Thank
you, thank you, thank you for all your support and friendship over the years.
Help me make this dream come true, won’t you?!
Thanks
again! If you’d like to keep track of where the song is on the charts,
just visit www.jimfemino.com every
Tuesday and you can watch it climb along with us.
2/5/2008 So I've got this song I wrote called "JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN' YOU". Wrote it with an artist named James Otto and another good friend of mine D. Vincent Williams. Well guess what..... It's sitting in the TOP 20 in theBillboard Country Charts and on CMT and GAC, another Country Music TV station. TOP 20 BABY! NEED I SAY MORE AT THIS TIME? Didn't think so. I'm off to a celebratory cocktail. See ya!
5/13/07 So last night I played at Chaplin's in Spring City, PA. Great night of music with Skip Denenberg, Kate Klim and 70's superstar Larry Burnett, founding member of Firefall. We had a blast. But the big news is that... (ta da....!!!!), the new CD is done and ready to be had. Coooommmmeee and get it!
4/12/07 OK..., so you're probably wondering where I've been. Yeah, me too! I've been in "producer mode" with Kassie Miller. I got her a deal on Montage Records out of Nashville and my life hasn't been my own since! I know...., such problems..... Anyway, I'm still here writin' and recordin'..., every time I get a minute. And hey, I've got some shows coming up in May! Wooo hoooo! I am SO due to do a show. I get "anxious" when I don't play out for awhile. It is my life, you know.... Oh well..., let's see. Anything else happening? Hmmmmm..... Nope. Just writing w/ my buds in Nashvegas and producing Kassie. Trust me when I say that's enough! Hope you're all doing well out there. Spring is here and we're about to kick off a GREAT summer! I can feel it comin'. Til I see you guys out at a show, party on ya'll! Yee-haw.
10/15/06 Here's a new one! Remember me telling you about Broken Bow Recording Artist CRAIG MORGAN cutting that song of mine? It's called "Look At 'Em Fly" and if you find the November issue of PEOPLE MAGAZINE (the "Country Issue" that has Kenny Chesney on the cover), go to page 27 and you'll find the cut/song as a FREE DOWNLOAD! Can't beat that! Way to go Craig and People Magazine! We Feminos are luvin' ya!
This year (2006) is KICKIN' ass!! Where to begin....
Well, this past month we've gotten a few cuts of import. Most noticeably, a song by Jim Femino, D. Vincent Williams and Melinda Hutchings (...now Williams!) called "A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AMERICA". Yeah..., it was cut by Ronnie Milsap and it's on his new RCA release "My Life". We're hopin' it's a BIG single! It's a monster song. The album came out on June 27 to rave reviews and it's sellin' like hotcakes according to the Billboard charts!
Also, Broken Bow recording artist CRAIG MORGAN cut a Jim Femino, D. Vincent Williams song called "THE LADYBUG SONG". We haven't heard it yet, but I'm willin' to bet Craig sang the hell out of it.
Let's see, what else..... Oh yeah..., we just got the final paperwork in for a sync license for a Jim Femino, James Otto and Kenny Beard song called "THE BIGGER THE CADDY" which is in the new movie "Roadhouse 2", due out in July of 06. James Otto is this movie's rock star, filling the shoes of The Jeff Healey Band from the first one, and believe me when I say..... he rocks!
Congrats to our writer Art Femino and his wife Michelle on the birth of their first child! Victoria Paige Femino joined the world on 6/12/06 at 3:23 in the afternoon. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 and a half inches long. You go folks!
Check back later for more good news. Til then...
NEW NEWS!!!
7/10/06 Ronnie Milsap's new album, My Life, debuted on The Billboard Charts today at # 46. Here's hopin' it goes all the way to #1, just like those other forty #1s of his!
7/11/06 The new Roadhouse 2 movie comes out today! Go buy it. There's a song in there being sung by Warner Bros. recording artist James Otto that was written by our own Jim Femino. It's called THE BIGGER THE CADDY. Enjoy!
